Final review meeting
Feedback on the final review of D-STANDART project !
On 4th of February in Amsterdam (and online), the D-STANDART consortium held the final review meeting at the NLR – Netherlands Aerospace Centre permises, and it was a success !
The consortium as a whole was thrilled that the project goals were fully achieved and that the strong synergy amongst partners has already sparked exciting new ideas for future cooperation and exploitation prospects.
Below a wrap up of key project results :
- New insight into fatigue mechanisms
- New high frequency test methods commercialised via a spin-off (XCTE)
- Contribution to revision of CHADA meta-data standard (supporting FAIR open data practice)
- Large publicly available database of fatigue data (900+ experiments) freely available via Zenodo
- Advances in AI enabled modelling integrated in commercial tools (Hexagon Manufacturing Intelligence)
- LCA and Techno-social acceptance studies
- Free online training resources (D-STANDART Academy)
Along the way, some important lessons about the challenges of implementing AI-based surrogate models in finite element analysis and on the difficulties of capturing meta-data in a way that is both human and machine readable.
Feedbacks received from our reviewer and Project Officer at the event :
- Impressive work
- Excellent team
- Clear path forward for future developments
- Strong synergies and dissemination/ training potentil
Last station for D-STANDART but the beginning of a long-term European effort, with still several ongoing initiatives running, e.g. MatCHMaker – HorizonEU AddMorePower Horizon Europe project 101091621 AID4GREENEST Project CoBRAIN Project Knowskite-X and DigiPass-CSA
A heartfelt thank you to all contributors for their dedication, collaboration, and innovation throughout this journey: our team members but also our esteemed Advisory Board members for their precious insights.
Onward to the next chapter of composites durability!
