First Training Workshop: Transformed test!
We are happy to report that our First Training Workshop was clearly a success: about 80 participants, from 7 countries and more than 20 companies, research organisations and academic institutions, and with profiles ranging from students to experienced design engineers, attended the event. During the event they were provided with a solid theoretical basis on fatigue of composites at both low and high frequency loading. They then had the opportunity to immediately put that knowledge into practice, with hands-on exercises analysing real data from the D-STANDART project, an aspect that many attendees greatly appreciated.
Special thanks to J. A. Pascoe, F. Monticeli, Y. Mosleh and D. Biagini, from TUD, and D. Di Maio and J. Schönthaler from UT, for the perfect preparation and supervision of this session, but also their respective research teams and management assistants for the invaluable support.
You can find the presentations on this website, all handout material and first video as part of our D-STANDART academy. So even if you weren’t able to join, you can look at the theory, and even try your hand at the practical exercises from your own home!
Over the coming months, the D-STANDART academy will be supplemented with more material, diving into different aspects of fatigue of composites. More to come about that… stay tuned !
And it’s not over! Before Summer break you still have the opportunity to meet us at ECCM21, from 2 to 5 July in Nantes (France), where a special session entitled ‘𝐅𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐠𝐮𝐞 𝐚𝐬𝐬𝐞𝐬𝐬𝐦𝐞𝐧𝐭 𝐨𝐟 𝐜𝐨𝐦𝐩𝐨𝐬𝐢𝐭𝐞 𝐦𝐚𝐭𝐞𝐫𝐢𝐚𝐥𝐬 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐬𝐭𝐫𝐮𝐜𝐭𝐮𝐫𝐞𝐬: 𝐟𝐫𝐨𝐦 𝐜𝐨𝐮𝐩𝐨𝐧 𝐭𝐨 𝐟𝐮𝐥𝐥 𝐬𝐜𝐚𝐥𝐞’ (#8.10) is co-organised by D-STANDART team together with Anastasios P. Vassilopoulos (EPFL (École polytechnique fédérale de Lausanne)), Paolo Carraro (University of Padua (Università degli Studi di Padova)), and Marino Quaresimin (University of Padova).
