First Coupons manufactured !

UB prepares environmental conditioning before testing

A major achievement occurred during summer for D-STANDART team: first coupons (Central Cut-ply, Asymmetric Cut-Ply specimens and End-Loaded Split) have been manufactured and are now under environmental conditioning.

University of Bristol also designed and manufactured a novel coupon configuration with embedded out-of-plane wrinkling to assess the influence of this defect on the fatigue performance.

These coupons will be shared by University of Bristol with National Composites Centre from UK and Delft University of Technology, University of Twente, NLR from Netherlands for testing.
