Together with Anastasios P. Vassilopoulos (EPFL (École polytechnique fédérale de Lausanne)), Paolo Carraro (University of Padua (Università degli Studi di Padova)), and Marino Quaresimin (University of Padova), the D-STANDART team is proud to organise the special session ‘𝐅𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐠𝐮𝐞 𝐚𝐬𝐬𝐞𝐬𝐬𝐦𝐞𝐧𝐭 𝐨𝐟 𝐜𝐨𝐦𝐩𝐨𝐬𝐢𝐭𝐞 𝐦𝐚𝐭𝐞𝐫𝐢𝐚𝐥𝐬 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐬𝐭𝐫𝐮𝐜𝐭𝐮𝐫𝐞𝐬: 𝐟𝐫𝐨𝐦 𝐜𝐨𝐮𝐩𝐨𝐧 𝐭𝐨 𝐟𝐮𝐥𝐥 𝐬𝐜𝐚𝐥𝐞’ .
🔎 At this session (n°8.10), we welcome all contributions that help us better understand the phenomena involved in fatigue of composite materials. We’d also love to hear any ideas that will help us evaluate the behaviour of large scale composite structures with complex lay-ups, without having to test every possible laminate used in the design separately. In other words, how can we bridge the gap between coupon testing and the behaviour of full-scale structures?
